Willie Nile New York Concert reviews
Madonna Las Vegas
I have always wanted to see Madonna and I took the opportunity to see her in Las Vegas. The show was so disappointing. She played very few of the hits we all came to see. When she did come out she played a few new songs which were ok. The first song or act featured a man getting repeatedly shot. The atmosphere and the demeanor of the artist was angry, aggressive and belligerent. She has so much great music I just knew the concert would be epic. I go to a lot of concerts. Several times prior to this the crowd cheered to get the show started. Anyway, it was supposed to begin at 1030 pm but Madonna did not show up until midnight. Instead she played Portuguese music called Fado. Since Las Vegas has a bad mass shooting it seemed especially inappropriate. I realize she is outspoken but the vibe was too angry and confrontational. There was too much of that and too much talking and not enough singing. I don鈥檛 think my expectations were unrealistic. I left the concert at 130 am before it was over. Seeing a Willie Nile concert and thinking it鈥檚 the worst concert I have ever been to is the last thing I thought I would say.
